Teresa's Trek

From Southern California to Anchorage, Alaska

Saturday, October 28, 2006

Today my roommate Tiffany and I decided to head down to Girdwood, home a Alyeska Ski Resort. It is located about 35 miles south of Anchorage. The views along the drive were absolutely amazing.
Once we turned off the highway the roads were covered with snow and ice. That is the Prince Hotel at the end of the road.
This is the tram that goes up to the top of the mountain and to the upper lodge, it has two cars each holding up to 30 peopleMy roommate Tiffany and I One of the small creeks running along the trails
Me, thoroughly enjoying all of the snow

When are we going SKIING TERES?? I can't wait to come up and visit. The weather here today was clear and sunny and 85 degrees. Doesn't quite feel like winter yet down here.
